Villeneuve sur Lot Golf & Country Club is situated in the Lot et Garonne, 30 minutes drive from Bergerac International Airport. The club is also conveniently located for both Bordeaux and Toulouse airports (approx. 1hr 40mins from both). One of the best known regions in France, its fine wines are appreciated the world over by millions of connoisseurs. The Aquitaine region is known for its wide-open spaces as a result there are over 50 golf courses in the region, and the quality of its golf courses has made it France's leading region for golfers.

2. Villenueve sur Lot - Penne D'Agennais - Pujols The central square and the river in Villeneuve sur Lot are especially attractive but the real beauties are Penne D'Agennais and Pujols, both with well preserved medieval areas full of shops, bars and some of the best restaurants in the region. 3. Eymet - Monbazillac - Bergerac Eymet is another Bastide village with a very well preserved central market place which is surrounded by bars and restaurants. Eymet can be very busy in the high season and is very much the English centre of the dordogne; it even has its own cricket club! En route to Bergerac visit the vinyard of Roland Tatard (supllier of the clubs own label wines) and then Chateau de Monbazillac, a well preserved 14th century chateau and the centre of production for the world renowned sweet wine. From Monbazzillac to Bergerac, park down by the river and walk up through the old district of medieval properties with roofs almost touching over the narrow streets. On your way back try to find the abandoned Chateau Bridoire, once visited by King Edward the 1st. About 200 km's round trip. |

4. Fumel - Puy L'Eveque - Cahors This route follows the river Lot upstream to Cahors and offers a range of stunning views and picnic spots. Puy L'Eveque is the home of a number of artists who display and sell their work. Your destination, Cahors, is an historic Gesional capitol with Roman roots and a world famous bridge 'Pont Valentre', again a MUST! About 250 km's round trip. |
